Winter holidays seem to revolve around dinners. Whether it’s the traditional Thanksgiving spread of turkey and various sides or the sweet and savory Christmas dinners, meals are a huge part of the winter holiday experience. At the very least, something has to soak up all the alcohol that makes arguing with the relatives ever so slightly easier to handle. While weird fiction and food porn have always gone hand-in-hand, horror has a unique way of making the most comforting of foods sound nauseating and awful.
So for this holiday season, we decided to seek out some of those unappetizing offerings and serve you our tasting menu of some of the worst meals in horror. But because it would otherwise be too much of a target-rich environment, the following works contain zero instances of cannibalism or coprophagia (poop-eating, to the layperson), allowing us to cultivate a more discerning palate, as it were.
